VAVE invites you to explore the future of gaming with stc!
In July this year, Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia hosted the first Esports World Cup. The eight-week event attracted about 1,500 professional players around the world, with a total prize pool of more than $60 million US dollars, making it the largest event in e-sports gaming history. More than two million people visited Saudi Arabia during the event.
Saudi Telecom Company (stc)—the Middle East's telecom giant, was the main sponsor of the World Cup and provided comprehensive support for the event. In Riyadh's Boulevard City Center, the venue for the tournament, VAVE and stc jointly created a unique immersive experience space - the stc Heroes Hub. Here, everyone has the opportunity to become a hero and have the chance to be featured on the big screen in Riyadh Times Square.
stc's Vision for the Future
At the heart of the Esports World Cup venue, stc will be showcasing the‘Going Forward’ brand concept to visitors. We will build a bridge between visitors and the brand in the context of a gaming event, reaching out to young generation and activating the stc brand. In addition to creating a unique immersive experience, we will highlight stc's leadership in technology and entertainment.
Heroes Rise: stc's Community-Powered Gaming Universe
Every visitor can be a HERO!
Participants and enthusiasts of e-sports events form the e-sports community. During July and August in 2024, the gaming community will “take over” the Boulevard City Center, showcasing themselves at the stc Heroes Hub, on the Times Square screen and the stc stage as well.
We invite heroes to come to their own community space, the stc Heores Hub. Here, everyone will become a real hero. stc Heroes Hub is the world belonging to heroes！
Unleashing Digital Identity: Where AI Meets Gaming Excellence
The stc Heroes Hub features interactive screens prompting visitors to“Become your own hero.” Using selfies and generative AI, visitors create unique avatars based on on their gaming preferences, style, and environment.
This personalized approach makes esports a tangible part of their lives, showcasing stc’s commitment to immersive and cutting-edge technology. Visitors can create unique hero avatars and experience a deep, personal connection to the brand and the venue. In addition, Saudi Telecom also created an exclusive game character for the E-sports World Cup, which is shown in its games and prominently on the back wall of the Heroes Hub, activating a strong visual and emotional brand connection.
Another feature of the Heroes Hub is the Hero Challenge, a reaction game where visitors can test their skills in hand-eye coordination and reaction speed. High scorers were rewarded with limited edition Saudi Telecom peripherals to further enhance their engagement and brand identity.
